I actually got REAR only. They are the only ones that sell them. My wife and I dont need the shade but our 4 yr old in the backseat does.
I have the opposite issue - We need the shade up front, rarely ever have back seat passengers.
My thinning hair and scalp issues, need the shade and my wife insists on it. We ain't kids any more.

Well I can't speak for the front. I know they sell fronts only. I do think you have to fold the windshield out a touch to install the front shade. Not to the point of having to remove the wipers or anything, just to loop the straps i think.

Can confirm you do NOT have to lean it all the way forward. Place a rolled up towel and if you want tie something so you don't knock it down or do what I did and have somebody help hold it while you put two hooks in place then you hold it for them. Easy peasy lemon squeezy.

If you’re talking the Alienshade - they give you a ‘thing- a tool’ to route it between the windshield & frame. However, there’s so much rubber gasket material in there (on my 24) that it was difficult to push it thru there. I ended up loosening up the windshield bolts to make it easier.

In terms of the Spiderweb - The videos I’ve seen, you could just prop the windshield open with something (or have a 2nd person) to hold it. That’s my initial thoughts based on videos I’ve seen. Haven’t ordered one yet….

I would never try to push anything through or past a seal/weatherstrip/gasket. No way.
Do it right, don't hack or shortcut it, imo. loosen those bolts, or remove them, and prop the windshield forward a bit. SpiderWeb does it right.

I agree….. I was just mentioning…. With the Alienshade, they give you a thin plastic strip that you feed between the gaskets to help pull the bungee thru it. No tools needed (according to their instructions).

That was something else I realized I didn’t like about the Alienshade…(after attempting to install it) - you have these bungee strips sitting between the gaskets, which could ultimately damage the gasket.

'No (additional) tools needed' if you loosen the windshield either because what you need is already in the Jeep (that little tool kit)

Not super flappy I installed like directions said too. But installed with sides over the airbag to get it lined up properly then took them off once I had it where I liked it.

is that an alien shade? If so, do you have the premium sound? Also, did you have any issue passing bungies through the front with all the new rubber seals etc in that area with the 24 and 25s? Ive still got my matching green front alien shade that I got brand new from someone super cheap, but I havent tried to mess with it yet due to these issues.

yes this was one of my concerns. Apparently there was no gasket seal to pass through on previous models. I was afraid to run the bungees and tool through it and cause water leaks or any type of air noise?

I have the rear installed also that requires going around the airbag system in the back seats because there is no rear bar..:. It is an alien sunshade …no on the premium sound but the speaker pods are identical so that shouldn’t be an issue to my knowledge. No issue with the seal around the front windshield with noise or the seal. I used the included plastic tool to sneak it through . I followed the install directions that came with the sunshade and had no problems.

thanks. Someone else said that the included bungees from alienshade were not long enough on the alpine bar....at least on a 24 / 25

Thanks to ya’ll…. I’ve returned the Alienshade and ordered the Spiderweb (Amazon).

Here’s hoping it comes with the new ‘nubbins’… It should be here Wednesday (with too much other shit that I ordered - not for the Jeep) 😆

Yea I had alien on my JKU so I pulled the trigger on a set. Installed great, love it.
I don't have the side curtain airbags on my 22 though.

I said "what the hell..." and took the alien sunshade I got today cheap and threw it in my 2025. I had no problem with the bungees being too short. I can say it doesnt fit super super good on my 2025, but good enough. I didnt have to loosen the windshield and i ran the little thin tool between the gasket. I did go ahead and put the side ones on for now just to get it to stretch out to how it should be. I will eventually remove them and create some sort of screw nubs for the side bungees. I know its not safe and creates an issue for the air bags. Surely they blow up with enough force that those bungees aint gonna matter....BUT i plan to not take that change and change them before long.

Can you access the panel latches, or if you had a Sunrider, could you unlatch that, or latch it when closed?
