I’d park somewhere else…. Find a little piece of heaven behind the building where nobody else goes, if you can. Walk a bit…it’s good for you.☺

If you’re lucky, there’s only ONE person driving that van, (and no passsengers or family) that needs to open the passenger side doors.

On the other cheek…. it could be someone who has trouble walking, and/or an old person……who has trouble getting in & out of it. Or - if they’re anything like me….. I can’t park a straight line to save my ass. My husband is always barking at me because I’m usually always crooked. But then again….I always park in East Africa so it doesn’t matter.😂

Just park the same, right up against that same white line. And keep parking like that anytime they do.

Our Mojave and our JL both have wheels with a significant negative offset and 12.50 width tires that are a few inches wider than the fender flares. And they both have Rockslide Engineering step sliders that extend 4" beyond the side of the Jeep and protect the sides of the Jeep in-between the tires. There is nothing a car door is going to hurt if it gets opened against one of our Jeeps. I'm passive aggressive like the General that posted above me. I would just park crowding their spot as much as they are crowding yours. If they can't get in their vehicle, oh well, not my problem.

Difficult to say… sometimes the guy next to them (on their driver side) could have park wrong, forcing them to park as in the photo.

Then that guy leaves and the end up looking like they do not know how to park…

I just wanted to see what the court of public opinion thinks.

They are just trying to get some of your Jeeps trail cred.
Now really that is a polite request you did. A follow-up, if they "don't get it" is to make a point of getting there before the person sometime and "return the favor" for them along with getting together with the person who has the spot on other side if possible. That's after if needed.

I know I'd be thinking that same thing as you ... why tf would someone park like that?

Well, it's because most people are completely indifferent and see their vehicle as an appliance like a refrigerator that they use to get from point A to point B. They simply see your JT as another fridge that they park next to, and they park based on how they always park in the middle of a sea of cars in the Trader Joe's sparking lot. The lines are basically invisible to them.

Where am I going with this? I don't know, but a few deep breaths is always a good start. As long as they are not door-dinging you or dragging something against your Jeep, I say just Elsa it. "Let it Go"

Sometimes you pick a nice end spot & hug the curb, but you just can't win, like with this guy:

I kinda resembled that one years ago when A.D. the unit didn't have parking areas large enough for all the soldiers to park at. But had 10 places that had a 10 in concrete thing like that and filled in with dirt. The BN staff, Cpt's and 1SGt's all had "assigned parking spots" but all NCO's and soldiers who were not living in barracks were S.O.L. the B.C. and CSM put out no parking on grass, the next day and then on I parked right on one of them. Luckily the BDE COL CSM and BN CSM actually liked me. Being one of few combat vets in the BDE. probably helped out.
