it seems every K&N kit claims 11 hp, no matter the design or motor.

Hp is whatever to me, I like torque but 20 at 2600 isnt super special but oh well, its a simple mod, its a respectable number. My money is still on the derringer from Banks but something like this could be after. Curious what they will sound like too.

Yup, the 20 torques at a rpm you're never at is pretty much useless, but that turbo sound....intoxicating.

I would say maybe towing it might help. But then again when we tow were not often at 2600+ rpm unless its steep or heavy, which again 20lbft might be helpful.
It will be nice when the industry catches up and we can get more feedback on cai and the ecodiesel.

Fair, but, peak might be 20, and at 2800, but what is the difference throughout the rpm range? What is it where you normally drive?

wasn’t there some info out prior about not using an oiled air filter on the diesel motors? Not sure if I saw that here or on a Ram/Cummins board

No. I believe some GM vehicles about 10+ years ago had some issues. Ive used oil filters for 15 years, not one single issue. Even on my old 01’ 24v cummins that was running a BD turbo with 400hp. Im running one on my mine, just a replacement k&n, runs great. If I was living a dry dusty climate yeah maybe a dryflow or stick with oem.

One would hope being that claim it to be a cold air intake. But it still looks to be pulling from in the engine bay… I’d like a decent snorkel for the eco … that’s a real cold air intake. No pulling from the engine bay and claiming it’s cold air. Pull from the outside of the sheet metal pull in actual cold air!!

Had the AEV snorkel on my JK and my last 3.6 Gladiator. I love them, great insurance and yes, great for cool air. Curious why at least AEV hasn’t done one yet. Diesel market is growing with the Wrangler and Gladiators.

I was hoping for Mopar support being that they make one for the 3.6 but they say they have no intentions on making one… the hauk one just seems unfinished. Homemade and unrefined.
