Another tailgate lettering alternative.

Hello folks,

Finally brought my new Gobi JT home, and have made a change to the tailgate lettering, a version I have not seen on here before so I thought I would share. Letters are from Kaos Design, and can be used as stand-alone letters or as an 'embossed' treatment underneath a tailgate wrap.

Looks good. Limitless parts makes the same letters but larger. I like that gladiator sticker.

I incorporated the "Jeep" part of the dealer logo into my tailgate. A nod to the IronMan decal on the side of my '20 JT Overland. I like subtle

I actually just ordered a set of these. Are they like a rubberized plastic?

My plan is to paint them gloss Gobi. I don't know how realistic that is, we'll see how well they take paint, but I'm hoping for a subtle embossed appearance. Since they sit flush I think they'll work just fine but I don't know if the paint will stick and it could be tricky adhering them without flexing them too much

So what kind of material are these made of? Are they like the soft, puffy stickers I remember from when I was a kid? How is the gloss finish holding up?

They're a dense, glossy, slightly tacky rubber.

I opted to just paint my factory badging black/gunmetal grey
