Just looking for good advise. Have a 21 JTM 26k miles. I have no mechanical mods and will not be adding any ie: lifts, regears etc. I have exterior mods that add weight ie; decked system, full rack, awening, winch and OE winch bumper. We pull a overland trailer fully loaded about 2300 lb. The type of dring we do is light to moderate over landing. No rock crawling to speak of (except fishermans lane in SE Oregon, BRUTAL 6-7 hours to go 10 miles, story for another time). 60% town and highway 40% offroad. I have the OE tires 33’s. Over the last 3 1/2 years I haven’t needed larger tires, i don’t think….

Question: Given my driving style, what would the advantage be to increase size to 35’s? or should I just save a very little $$ and stay with the 33’s? I will be looking at brands as well. What is a good brand for my driving style listed above?

I’m curious to hear responses…
Going with 35’s - you’d need to get a Tazer (or similar device) to adjust to the taller tires (speedometer/odometer accuracy). I’m guessing…. The power, torque, & gas mileage would decrease slightly.

33s vs 35s is subjective. I think these things should be have come stock with 37s personally, but if 33s have been working for you then I would say stick with that. I would stay with an all terrain tire. I have been absolutely in love with my Toyo RT Trail tires for the last 15k miles. Just make sure you rotate often (5k miles) and keep up with balancing.

Have you considered 34s? I've been happy with Yokohamas G015s. Most of my miles are highway miles and they're great on snow.
