Got drafted out of high school to play pro baseball...then after 6 years of that...played college football....lifted consistently for 20 years now...6'5 275lbs ...bench 400 squat 500... deadlift is asking for back problems. Especially for tall guys
I envy you guys who got started early. Ive only been at it a few years.
Im real short and deadlift kills my lower back. SI joint.

I am not a huge proponent of deadlifts even though I know it's all the craze these days....I think squats are a much better more natural exercise....I trained with very strong in amazing shape guys 20 years ago when I started and none did them....I have been doing this for a long time and had some of the best trainers and coaches....my knowledge comes from real life experience not like these internet experts....to start getting in great shape I wouldn't recommend deadlifts

That's a great lift! Is he in great shape? I just don't see the muscle benefit ...though they give you a good base and are great for burning fat

I’ve been in the gym for a few years too, and it’s always exciting when you start adding new lifts to your routine. So, log press is no joke, that’s impressive! For the bench press, sometimes adding some accessory work like incline or close-grip bench can help break through plateaus. If you're managing a gym or even thinking about organizing your workouts and classes, best martial arts gym software can be a game changer. It’s made keeping track of progress and scheduling way easier.
