I get the general idea of the harness/plug - push down on the tab to allow the red lever to be pulled up, pull red lever up...and it's supposed to slide off. It seems like mine are really stuck on there...maybe from lots of dust and dirt. Is there any leverage I can provide while pulling up on the red lever to make it slide off? The problem is the gear mechanism on the red lever is binding as it's trying to push the plastic slides down to free it up - and it causes so much torque that it pops the bottom of the plug housing cover right out of their tabs ><

Mine did the same. YOu can take a long skinny flat head, and gently push down on the locks, from the top of the housing, alternating each side as you push it down slightly.

I actually did try that after I figured out the mechanism and it was still really stuck on there :(

Will attempt again today.

Double check, referencing the one you removed, that the blue (i think theyre blue iirc), locking mechanisms are fully pushed down the same amount as the other one. Mine wouldn't budge either, then I realized the blue things weren't pushed down far enough. As soon as they were, I just very gently pried at the top and bottom of the plug, and it eventually popped off. Literally took me the better part of 30 minutes to get it off without breaking it. Was so pissed off.

The gear part on mine, like yours, does not work at all. Had to manually push the blue pins up after reinstall to get it locked in place.

There’s one blue and one green. Which made me wonder if they function differently, but I can’t tell how. I do know the locking tab on each side faces a different direction (one down, one up), but it doesn’t seem like it’s binding on that.

That was the trick - I pushed down on each side back and forth with a flathead to help it through. Thanks!
