Maybe it's my luck but my JTR and JLUR have had small rocks stuck between fender and body, both passenger rear.

By design there is a perfect valley to catch rocks from fender to body. My guess trapped rocks will cause friction and overtime wear the paint causing corrosion.

I am looking for a solution to fill the gaps, something simple that can be inserted to fill gaps and still look good.

Any thoughts?

Even my Overland I find it's really hard to keep that clear of stuff. If I use a car wash I have to rinse the heck out of those areas because they retain the soap - and that soap is CAUSTIC and will eat away at plated finished (bolts, nuts, screws)

I've had the same thoughts about the small rocks, mostly with my rear fender flares. Just washed it today after a recent snow storm and even the do-it-yourself car wash pressure washer wouldn't dislodge all of them. Fender welt seems like a logical solution. Hoping that when I add ROAM Offroad side steps and maybe front mud flaps the problem will go away.

No rocks, but a lot of pine straw.

Thanks for what appears to be a great solution. I have the parts on order from Amazon. I wonder if it would be best to remove the tubing from time to time in order to wash finer particles and dust out of the spaces below?
Copy that, although I went with the smaller diameter (.236") so it will fit in the gap further (I hope, anyway). I'll post pics once its installed. I had thought of trying clear silicone caulk, but if that turned out bad it could be difficult to remove without damaging the paint.

Thanks for the video. I have the same problem with debris getting lodged in those locations. As always, your videos show simple solutions that work. Just ordered the exact same part through Amazon and look forward to resolving this common problem. Thanks again.

I installed the tubbing back in October. I like the results. I just power washed the mud off my JT at the end of hunting season. One of the tubes came loose but I just reinserted it. NO PROBLEM.
