That's a good pointI told my wife I was doing this to the Jeep just to get the clearance in the garage when the garage door is shut. The rest of the conversation was a blur!![]()

I definitely should have saved my money and bought a Wrangler UnlimitedIf someone does this then they should have just bought a wrangler unlimited and saved their $$.
“just got a Jeep truck!”
“cool, what are you gonna mod?”
“I’m gonna cut off the part that makes it a truck!”
?
I definitely should have saved my money and bought a Wrangler Unlimited... hahaha!
I'm not going to argue with you. I was just joshing ya, bud. To each their own.Yep, that's what I said. You clearly like your truck, which is good, since it's your truck.
It's just a fact that a JLUR could be outfitted with the same accessories and be more capable offroad, all while carrying 4 packout cases and full-size spare. Without having to pay a big chunk of money to improve it's departure angle.
This is a cosmetic mod that will be for some folks taste and not for others, and that's fine, there's plenty of those out there. I'd like to see a study done to see the similarities between folks that do this and folks that lift 2WD trucks, because that is another area where mod proponents get really persnickety when confronted (i.e. that for the 4-5k they spend lifting their 2WD trucks they could have just sold their truck and bought a 4WD that has readily available lifts for much cheaper).
