1700 miles on it haven't connected anything to it. Just started the truck and it came up like that.
Try disconnecting the negative battery terminal and leave it off for a couple hours, then reconnect it, start and see it it’s still there. Or you can also hold tune and power simultaneously for 20 secs then release it will do a soft reset and power cycle. I hope this helps.

The 8.4” screens are notorious for having issues. I had the 8.4” in my challenger and it had the dreaded delaminating issue (bubbles started forming between the screen and the actual display surface). Luckily all covered under warranty.

As others above said that’s a failure of the display itself. Looks like something with the LCD’s broke. I’d take it to a dealer, they’ll take pics and submit the claim to FCA and replace the screen. For what it’s worth my second screen never developed any issues.

It seems to have went away for the time being. Went to town and it seems fine. I will definitely keep an eye on it.

Screen failure like early notebook and tablet screens used to have. No phone connection would cause such a thing.
Sometimes it was a cable connection from the video control board to the screen/display itself making it come and go, sometimes that section of the controller would fail, sometimes pixels would fail.

My guess is his is hardware related, most likely connection issues, although heat can cause it too, when part of the controller gets hot and stops working.

It just happened. I can't get it to go away. I shut the truck off and restarted and still the same. Then shut it off for awhile and tried it again but still the same.
Do you have a Tazer? If you do, you can do a full reboot and see if that helps.

Looks like a trip to the dealer is in order. Would highly recommend that prior to using a tazer to reboot etc. Dealers can tell if that's been done and would likely blame you for the failure if they discover it.
