Found this on the engine. Anyone recognize it? It has a dab of green paint so I'm sure it's factory installed cap for something.

It almost looks like a battery terminal shipping cover that someone forgot to throw away.

Is there a number of any kind molded on it?

No numbers or symbols. Just a green inspection dot.

A cap for the Water cooled bearing for the muffler.
Or
The kanute valve cap

;)

Is the truck new, just off the lot?

1 year old. Found it while just inspecting for any leaks or other visual issues. That when I saw this sitting towards the front middle. Was hard to spot.

Big grab handle tells me that's something meant to be obvious and removed quickly. I'd bet on something from the factory there to protect during manufacturing but wasn't removed entirely during final assy.

Just took a look... dont see anything like that. As others said, I think is a cap from fluids at the factory. But don’t know....

Thanks everyone. Agree it looks like a pull handle.

I will discard their trash.

Certainly not a 710 cap. I do not see 710 on it anywhere.

It is possible the plastic cap is a temporary for the engine oil fill when FCA receives them.
Then, the oil is filled and checked and the real oil cap goes on and this is confirmation at the factory the task is complete.
It would make sense that the factory installs the permanent cap based on the current oil spec.
