Ok guys, I've been away for a bit but I'd like to do another trip to RC or AOAA. I know most people here prefer RC but I'm flexible. I don't have any dates or anything and I'm open to suggestions. I'm also willing to go other places if anybody knows of anything good.

How about February 4th at AOAA? Anyone around those days? I hit some great trails last time I was out there.

I'm in for either. Can only do a Sunday until March though
Hmm, I'm flying out on the 5th so that won't work. If I can't pull something together for the 4th then I'll try to put something together for the spring.

I'd be interested in doing a Sunday out there...
Is anything more than stock needed for those trails?

What trim do you have? If you have a Rubicon or Mojave there will be a lot you can do stock. I'd recommend the Rusty's LCA skids if nothing else. For reference I have a sport s with Rubicon springs and shocks, take off M/Ts, and a few skids so only really slightly modified, but I mostly do the greens and some blues at both those parks

It's a vanilla mojave (suspension, wheels, tires, etc are all stock).

I do IT stuff so I can buy Jeep stuff.
I'm interested in doing some easy stuff - bone stock Rubicon. I haven't been to RC or AAOA, but did visit Paragon a couple times many years ago when I had a TJ. Should I be thinking of more armor underneath beyond the LCA skids?

I did both several times when I was stock. AOAA is very tight in spots but you usually can go a green route if the blue is too much and come back to the group. I was usually more concerned about bashing into a tree than the under carriage.

Not much for the greens. As @JTBurns said, I'd get some lca skids. I banged mine up a few times before I got some. Greens at aoaa are fun but easy. It's just a good time with nature. Hardest part is the tight turns.

If you get enough people to make it worthwhile, I'll try to make it. I'm not going to firm commit yet, though. I don't know what the wife has in store. I'll definitely go in spring.

Pat and I are up for it, have to check on Grandson’s soccer tournament in Harrisburg , not sure what day or weekend it is. Have not been off-road in woods much, did do RC last get together and it was great.
Stock Mojave will be good, I am at stock height with factory AT tires and did great. I am skidded up pretty much, Rusty’s rear control arm front skids (great design) and I tapped them a few times, also got Rockhard rear control arm rear skids and rear shock skids, got an Artec Front axle disconnect skid, have Dana/Spicer cast iron differential covers , rear hitch skid ( not hit at RC yet), even the exhaust loop skid which has to wait for the full body skid to fit…… all the stuff on my Mojave is unseen looks stock other then a winch hook sticking out of the stock plastic bumper. Try and get the Rusty’s LCA skids everything else you will be fine, and you will be fine without it also! Don’t goggle Reckless fabrication high clearance rear bumper, damn it never stops, and I am a damn, mall crawling, surf fishing poser!! Haha!
Hope we can make it and looking forward to it. ….Jack
