I have a 21 Rubicon and with iPhone15 pro (both 17.0.x and 17.1.x) CarPlay is not longer working. Android Auto is working with a Samsung S22. I tried the $32 Mophie cable but that didn't work for me.

FWIW, My wife and I both have 15 Pro's. I have the Max and she has the regular. My phone connects flawlessly in her Honda Pilot and in my 2019 Silverado work truck but I too have to plug the phone in sometimes 4 - 5 times before UConnect recognizes it. It's extremely frustrating. First world problems! Lol

I had issues for a week with my Iphone 15, for me, getting a new cord, turning on the truck letting the head unit load then have phone unlocked when i connect seems to work and that process has worked for the last month.

It seems to be fixed now. I’m running the 17.2 beta and has been working fine now. Before it would almost never connect on the first try. The odd part is it was working for all my rental cars for work flawlessly including a 4XE wrangler

I’m not having any connection issues with my 15 Pro Max. I mostly use wireless but wired is working fine too. I’m using various Chinesium usb-c cables. I don’t use a case. Insertion problems sometimes are an issue with a case on any device.

I have seen some CarPlay bugs however with iOS 17.x with the displayed location of calls in the recents list flickering and switching between “home” and some location. Their iOS software QA has been shit for at least 6 years and their cloud services and Siri are sad jokes.

I'm running the 17.2 public beta as well; mine works every time I plug it in now. Apple will likely release 17.2 next week...keep your fingers crossed!

Hopefully the 17.2 fixes. I cannot get any consistency with mine. Works fine about 70% of the time. When it decides not to work it takes up to 4 plug and unplug intervals to come up. Also if I leave the phone in the car and plugged in when I shut the car off, when I restart, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t.

Does anyone know if switching to wireless CarPlay device provides better results?

I upgraded to iOS 17.2 and I no longer have connection issues with my 15 max pro. finally, it was quite annoying for a few months until it finally got fixed

17.2 fixed everything.

I was having to connect/reconnect multiple times prior to 17.2.

After 17.2, it connects the first time, every time.
