Hi All!
Let me preface by saying that I am not at all a technical / installation guru. With that said, I have always had a reputable (yelp reviews …) shop Install systems on muItiple vehicles in the past. I went same route this time. BUT, due to multiple / various reasons, I am not taking my truck back to the shop that did the install. Option B would be paying another shop to diagnose issue - hopefully resolve. However, wondering /hoping someone might have some insight, potentially easy fix?… I might be able to tackle.
Upgrades:
New Dash and Sound Bar Speakers. KICKER KS, paired with KICKER 4 Channel Amp.
2 KICKER 10” Subs, custom underseat box, paired with a KICKER mono Amp.
I believe they used a L8 Line converter because was told PAC did not work.
Anyhow. System sounds great, although at times I feel it could have more bass. Reason i know that is because randomly, only at startup, bass is very intense/ high. Have to turn it down drastically bass knob. Runs that way. Then the next time I start it up, have to readjust bass knob again because it seems that everything is back to normal. Happens maybe 1 out of 20 times so far. The randomness is what what I am hoping someone might be able to chime in about. Or, am I just better off taking it to another shop, pay them to diagnose and hopefully resolve?
