Hi all, here's a short video of me in my 2020 Gladiator Rubicon doing the gatekeeper challenge for one of the harder tracks in our area, called Palm Tree. Lots of clay and slick surfaces in this area that can turn tracks like this from challenging to impossible, but was mostly dry this day.

As per my signature, I'm running a 3“ lift with Dobinson springs, Falcon SP2 3.3 shocks, Metalcloak control arms and rear track bar, Synergy front tie rod and drag link and Tough Dog track bar. 37x12.5 Milestar Patagonia MTs on Dirty Life DT1s. You'll notice a few differences between the Australian spec Rubicon and the US versions, including no high-line fenders, different hood, and of course the steering wheel is on the other side. ;)

Enjoy! :like:

Great video. Nicely done. I've seen other Aussie video's of that section.

Great video- love the color of your Jeep. What hood vent covers do you have on there? 🤔

Thanks! I love the Gator color. As soon as I saw it I had to have it, especially with the color matched fenders and roof. 😎 The hood and vents are unique to Australia and Europe/UK export models. It’s the same hood Jeep used on the Wayout concept Gladiator. It’s steel instead of aluminum and has a bit different contours than the US Rubicon hood.

Yeah, the 4wd247 crew did a video recently that included that track (as well as others in the Glasshouse Mountains that I’ve done in my Gladiator). They made it look a lot harder than it needed to be, but I guess that’s what gets the clicks on YouTube. 😁

Cool video!!

I noticed you didn't have the front axle locked at around the 2 minute mark.

Thanks mate! I unlocked the front right after I made the initial climb up the bank so that I could manoeuvre easier to keep the truck wedged in the V. I could have relocked it to climb that root but figured the BLD would do its job… which it did! 😁
