I just installed my badlands apex winch and at the end I went to test it and as soon as I turned the disconnect switch on, the winch starts turning out line. This is with the remote turned off. The wiring is pretty simple but I did take the control box off to put a hole in the side of the box for the red wire instead of having it come out of the back and rub on the grill.
I cant find a good picture online of how the terminals are routed. There's the main heavy gage red wire that runs to the battery and two small red wires that are also on the same post. I found a video where the guy has his box off and my wiring looks the same as his. Iam fairly confident I put it back the way it was..
Anyone have this issue?
Edit to add: I figured it out. My hot wire I relocated to the side of the box cover was making contact with the post above it. Iam lucky I didn't hurt the solenoid.
