Dammit, I was already planning to go in for the welding table they have. Now I gotta spend more money!
Which one, fixture or folding?

The Titanium brand fixture table. I just want a small table thats easy to tuck away that I can use to clamp pieces down. I haven't picked it up yet though.

We have one. It’s decent enough for the cost. It does the job. Especially since we don’t have a lot of space. Well, we do but too many cars and tools and partially finished projects. lol.

I saw a YT video saying the wiring comes out the back, which doesn’t fit well. So, he had to take apart the top to reroute the wiring out the side.
is this true?

Yes and no. On the new style grill 24+ iirc, there’s more room. On my 2020, it would have fit, but I didn’t like the way it was pushing against the grille. I relocated the wires. It’s surprisingly easy and the hole drilled really easy with a step bit.

The first pic is how it normally comes out the back. You can relocate the whole controller, but I already have other things under a tight engine bay. The second pic is after I relocated it.

I bought a rubber grommet at a hardware store and sealed the hole in the back with a rubber plug also from the hardware store.

Apex installed on the @Maximus-3 winch plate. It looks great and was an easy install, however it sits too low, so the winch clutch lever hits the bumper. It will either need a spacer to raise the winch higher or, more likely, I will modify the clutch handle so I can use the free-spool.

You will also need longer bolts if you want to use the badlands fairlead. I opted for a thinner Factor 55 fairlead.

Installed the Harbor Freight Apex Badlands 12K winch today. Fit snug enough on the MetalCloak bumper that I had to trim the grill to fit the positive wire out the back. I considered the side modification, but decided to modify the plastic grill anyway.

Both work, but I just figured I’d be better off not cutting the grille in case I sold it. I have a bad case of automotive ADD and it’s truly remarkable that I’ve had mine for six yrs now.
