when you changed the radio to that 9 insane unit did u change speakers too? How does it sound? DO u have a pic of it on lit up?
No didn’t have to change speakers. It sounds good - better than stock (but I am not a sound snob) and love having Netflix and the google play store. Only negative on the unit is it comes with aN external mic for using hands free and also has a built in mic. I chose to use the built in mic and when talking hands free the other caller usually says there is a lot of feedback on the call. Other than that, it is a solid unit. I think the only pic I have of it was while we were road tripping from my wife’s phone but can take more pics this weekend when I get back home of whatever you want to see. There is a complete install and review on Quadratics website that is pretty helpful as well.

@Bunchahoopla how is living with the manual locks? Show us your key fob? Do you have to use the brick to unlock your door Everytime?
Not much to see picture wise but I attached 3 below. You do have to use the brick to unlock the doors every time. I have noticed I have changed my habit patterns using manual locks. I usually unlock my door then immediately put the key in my pocket then if traveling with others jump in and unlock their doors. Then when I get out I always feel for the key before I lock and shut my door because of a fear of locking them in the truck. It is not a hassle for me...I grew up without all the technology so at least having a start button is nice. Plus when I take the doors off, i will have keyless entry like all the other trim levels

Damn, you’d think you’d at least be rid of that awful, huge key. It looks funny without the buttons on it. I guess the key is necessary because of the push button start. I forgot that it’s standard.

I would push that black pin and remove the blade, attach it to a custom handle that would work easier on a key ring and then hide the giant gas can fob inside the center console.
I have thought about that...the only problems I came up with is if someone broke in they could just drive away. Also, I wondered if the FOB would drain the battery over time. I travel for work and the Jeep will be parked a week at a time. I have noticed while approaching the Jeep at night, it picks up the FOB and the screen on the speedo is glowing with the clutch + info on it. I guess something to look into more...

I decided to get the cheapest Gladiator I could find so I a got Sport with soft top and manual. It had a few options I did want, spray liner and tow package. My plan was to gradually Build it into what I really wanted. I found wheels and tires on this site for sale and also found a lady that wanted to trade her hardtop for my premium soft top. I did some other minor upgrades like antenna, bed cover etc... The main thing to realize is that you are correct, the “bones“are the same in a 30k or 65k Gladiator.

What bed cover are you running? Your thoughts on it? I am going back and forth on a tri-fold or a roll up?

I'm quite happy with my base model Sport. Only difference is I have Max Tow, auto and hardtop. Roll up windows haven't bothered me a bit. Lack of power locks can be a pain but I'm usually doorless so not a major deal. The automatic is a great transmission, all I've heard is complaints about the manual but I've not dealt with one. I wasn't impressed with the manual JL though.

Does Max Tow ride, handle, change stance differently than regular without it?

I found a tri-fold Gator for 250.00 and been very happy with it. I didn’t want to add velcro or anything to roll up.

I dont mind the manual windows but my wife beats me every time she has to unlock the doors or tailgate.
