When the town plow gets stuck in your Cul de Sac you know you’re in for it. The town sent in a front end loader to dig it out. It was snowing 6” an hour.

Norhtwest Louisiana, set a record for high of 85 degrees in December last week. Grey, muggy days with streets and shop floor glazed over and a permanent fog for 2 weeks. Dumping 2.5 gallons of water/day out of my dehumidifier inside house. I could stand a little bit cooler weather.
You in Caddo Parish?

Love seeing the older John Deeres. I have a 1980 Deere 317. It's on it's second engine (replaced around 1998 or '99). The thing's a tank. It's now been regulated to a yard tug, pulling around the little trailer doing yard chores. My sister's idiot of a husband f*cked up the mower deck several years ago so that went buh-bye. I do remember at one time we did have a snow plow for the front but when Dad got older he decided that it was better (for him  ) to have someone else plow the driveway so the plow was long since sold off. The silly thing still starts up and runs but it's starting to really show it's age...the second motor is like over 23 years old as well. When that dies, so does the tractor as one cannot get a new(er) motor for it :(

This thread isn't what I thought it would be.

It's not about Gorilla glass or diesel engines.

I got 3-4 feet on the ground so far here in North Idaho.

I'm from South Alabama and don't miss the heat at all; wearing shorts and riding a dirt bike to our family Christmas and having the keep the A/C running 24/7 is lame.

Now I have to plow with a fully chained up 55hp tractor and I love it.
