Bed Rack Question - how to secure things on the sides?

I just purchased a JCR Off-road full size bed rack for my Gladiator. As I await shipping it dawned on me that I’m not really sure how to secure things other than rotopax securely to the sides. For instance, a hi-lift rack, or towing strap, etc. How are people securely (i.e. Lockable) items to the sides, etc.?

I know rotopax has attachment hardware that’s lockable, but what about other items?

I just don't rig mine out until I am going somewhere I need it. Rotopax, Krazy Beaver, axe etc stay in the garage. Odds are I wont need them driving to the grocery store or shop.... When I do rig it out I have a couple Bolt cables I use to run through the handles and mounting plates.
