I'm not a Ryobi fan but I saw these, measured and think they are perfect for storage in the back of the Gladiator. With the crates on top with tie straps, gloves and other items you need often and items needed less often in the bottom boxes they make a great paring. The fit perfectly when stacked in the bed and are easy to remove when not needed. Thought others might also find these useful. Have a great day and hope to see you on the trail soon.

Nice. (restated question) have you tried stacking the two toolbox units to see if they fit under your tonneau? Definitely like these dimensions fitting between the wheel wells.

Nice. I see you don't have the tops on the boxes stacked on top. Is that preference or will they not for under your tonneau with the tops on? Definitely like these dimensions fitting between the wheel Wells.
The ones on top are open top crates and the bottom ones are the sealed boxes but they stack and lock together nicely.

Have you tried stacking the sealed boxes? Just curious if that will work from a height perspective.

That's cool. I used these from harbor freight. It needed a couple foam blocks for side to side but work really well.

What is that bar you are using to keep them in place? Looks like what I have been trying to find

Its a bar (forget what it's called)that expands to hold cargo in place in the bed of a truck. Harbor freight has them. Works good.

loganjeeps,

I tried stacking two of the toolboxes and they were above my bed rail. The Tool box dimensions are 22-3/4" x 17-1/4" x 9-1/4" while the open top crates are 22-1/4" x 16-1/4" x 8" so I think the extra 1-1/4 puts it over the bed rails. I think the extra length and width size on the tool box is due to handles, latch and lids. The box and crate do latch together to keep them from un-stacking while driving if that makes any sense.

Thanks for posting this good idea. I'm going to make a note to get four of these and maybe more. Ryobi used to make awesome rotary hammer drills and other tools. It seems their tool quality has went way down. I bought a power sprayer for $94 to spray weeds and climbing vines in the back yard and I was able to use it 3 times before it literally fell apart. I went to pick it up for the 4th time and the handle came up leaving the tank on the ground! They've purposely downgraded quality it seems but these tool boxes should last just fine though.

It's always good to have options and that looks like they fit in there very nicely.
I'm another Harbor Freight storage guy as well. I use one of the rifle cases for recovery items and the boxes/crates for my air compressor, bottle jack, and whatever else needs to come along for the trip. I use a ratcheting cargo strap to keep things from sliding around.
I also appreciate how they all can stack together, so it doesn't take up a bunch of space in my garage.

I love modular toolboxes and use them quite often. I use various brands of toolboxes including Bauer (Harbor Freight), Dewalt, and Hart (Walmart brand). I'm planning to install a track system on the floor of my Ram truck bed so I can tie them down. I don't have a tonneau cover on the Ram, so I can stack them three high, hence the need to tie them down.

I would do the same on the Jeep, but I don't use it for work. Instead, I have a BedRug and tonneau cover and use it mostly to haul luggage, tool bags, and other lose items.

+1 for Ryobi

Jeep Gladiator Bed Storage - Ryobi Link Boxes Fit Perfectly IMG_20200922_160805-02~2

There's a shorter box w/ lid that measures a bit taller than 6" if one wanted two lidded/waterproof boxes under a tonneau.

Now the question is... How many could you pack in there front to back? Three deep, two high? With 8 or so inches to spare.. Two of the small Ridgid boxes would measure 45x14x6.5 to round out the toolbox Tetris. I'm sold.

I use the "Ridgid" boxes for years, I'm so invested in them now. I might go with Bauer brand or Ryobio if not. I've dang sure went with Bauer on cordless tools.
