Best rack system for ‘26 Gladiator w Tuff Stuff Elite 5 RTT

Hey friends. New to the Gladiator family

Our buddy’s neighbor sold us his brand new Tuff Stuff Elite 5 RTT (divorce sucks) and we’re looking for racks that will be best for it that also works with a roll top bed cover. I use the Gladiator as my daily driver, so something low-ish profile. We don’t need to spend an extravagant amount (ideally $1500 or below if possible).

If we aren’t brand purists, what size (height wise) should we be looking at for the rack? Do we need one that goes on top of the roof as well?

I really like my JCR off-road adventure rack. I had to cut the hard bed cover side rails a little bit to fit right but you may not need to.

The same change that would be needed for any rack that clamps the bed rails

Here's the exact link. It's $700 and with some modifications it can be made lighter and smaller. I've linked the post in my build where I show what I did. I skipped 2 of the 4 lengthwise beams and cut the remaining 2 down in size to be a bit more narrow making the trick bed more accessible.

Is it a retractable tonneau cover with a canister or a hard roll up that sits on top of the bed rails? That can narrow down the options a bit based on how much modifying you're willing to put into the setup.

A couple to consider for a tent that size are the ADARAC Aluminum Pro Series Truck Rack that works with most tonneau covers, or the RealTruck Elevate Truck Rack given that you have T-slot rails on the cover or room to add the Elevate CS rails. Both options keep you well within budget and support the RTT.

I later went to longer side rails and now it is the full length of the bed.
