Hey all. The title says it all. When is the best time of year to buy a suspension lift? I got a few emails with Labor Day “deals”, but is there a time of year that vendors or manufacturers offer particularly good deals? Black Friday, Memorial Day, etc.

I’ve bought a lift in the past but I’m more patient now and if I can save a few hundred bucks, why not?! Thanks

I’m waiting for Black Friday to make my purchases. They have the best deals. If it’s an impulse purchase, I wait for holiday sales, otherwise all major purchases are on Black Friday.

Just pulled the trigger today on my 3.5 Metal Cloak. Saved 10% and free shipping, I am very happy with that.

Shop with Morris 4x4. I just ordered a 3inch RK lift with 10% off plus a one year price guarantee. So if you ever find it cheaper they will refund the difference. Buy now and not deal with the hassle of BF deals and just simply get it matched.

Awesome, I also thinking of pulling the trigger too on the metal cloak game changer 3.5 with the rock sport shocks until i can save for kings. Did you buy the drive shaft to going with another type?

Have not made my final decision yet on that. Tom Woods is what I hear are the way to go

The best time is definitely the week before you get your Jeep!
haha too late for this but I’m definitely wanting after a few months of sitting on 32s. I don’t like being able to see over my Jeep!

Pulled the trigger last night on the 3.5” True Dual Rate Rocksport Edition. Wasn’t sure about the shocks but the reviews seem to be almost all positive.

Clayton interested me but they don’t have a similar kit on the market at this price point. Looking forward to these duroflex joints.

Now, 35’s or 37’s... trying to avoid a regear and it seems like 37s are a bit of a stretch for the 3.73’s. Just Empty Every Pocket, indeed.

The best time is just before you need one so that it arrives in time for your need.

Seriously, everyone here seems to be caught up on price and making sure you beat the next guy on the best deal and heaven help you, you are a LOSER if you pay 10 bucks more than the next guy. What are we comparing on the forum? Is it really prices?

So what if you pay a bit more or a bit less. Are you a smarter or better person for it?
(as I've seen, some will figure you are not as smart if you paid more than they did and they'll brag and rub it in as if you could have done better, they did, why didn't you)

I learned long ago from a smart college professor on making decisions, especially about purchases. Friday you go shopping for shoes, you check 5 stores and finally find a pair you like at a price you can afford, the better of the 5 stores.
Tuesday a friend says they got a great deal on shoes - 5 bucks less than you paid, they went on sale at another store on Monday. Did you make a mistake?
NO - you made the best choice based on the information at hand at that time. If you had bought the same shoes at the last store you visited and paid more, then yeah, you knew they were cheaper elsewhere.

So you wait and and wait, so sure the prices will go down, and something happens and instead they go up, or don't come up on sale, or a slightly less good kit comes up for sale instead.......
Buy what you want when you want it, looking for the best deal at the time.
Otherwise, you may be waiting because someone said you absolutely always get the very best deals on some specific day. What if that doesn't happen that way?

If you shop online - you MAY find the better deals cyber-Monday (after black-friday) - maybe.......... but then those may be bested by after-holidays sales. And what about spring into summer sales? or end of season sales? Or a new product coming out, so closing out these models sales.
Or buying cheap from someone who decided they wanted more, bigger, better?

I assure you I’m happier to have saved 10% than to have not saved 10%. We, as a community, are simply leveraging each other’s experience to make a well-informed decision. Black Friday is right around the corner and lifts are practically always wants, not needs. If someone said that historically they have 40% discounts on Black Friday, I would take my chances and wait.

I appreciate your lesson, but it doesn’t further the topic at hand. And the irony isn’t lost on me that this discussion contained none of the judgments you mentioned until you arrived and placed them on us. Everyone has contributed in the spirit of cooperation and support, until you. Further, no one has mentioned anything near the extremes in your “lesson”.

Perhaps this new lesson in civility is one you can preach unsolicited in forums.

Yes, agree wholeheartedly. Buying it before you drive it home is the best time. You'll wonder why you didn't do it sooner otherwise.

Not to mention there’s almost no easier time to get those bolts off! Trying to get suspension bolts off a vehicle with 30k+ northern US miles is no fun at all. Halts driveway wrenching real quick. Looking forward to installing this w only 2k miles.
