Best Top Tonneau Cover help

I have the Twill tonneau from best top on my JT. I like it! Recently one of the crossbar ends broke. Not at the fabric but the plastic bit on the end with the screw in it. Best Top is sending out a replacement end piece. Anyone else had to replace it before? I’m not sure how to get the old end out of the bar. I got some duct tape holding it together now! LOL!! The yellow stuff is bits of gorilla glue that didn’t work! The pic without the tape is fine.

I just broke mine last week on an off trip.
