i saw, just wanted confirmation from
Bestop before I commit the $
It's not a preorder. Though I believe they are in stock I can't guarantee it right now. Still the best thing to do is place an order to secure your spot "in line" and it will ship shortly.

Top came Monday. It has been raining and I have been working a lot. I hope to pull the doors and top this weekend, so HOPEFULLY I can post a few pics and my initial reactions then.

Mine arrived Tuesday. My top's off but I haven't had a chance to put it on and do a test fit yet. Maybe tonight.

Let's do this!

I tried out my Bestop weather cover today. This is the first time I put it on. It took 13 minutes, including trying to put it on backwards before figuring out which ends are the front and back. And the straps have to be put on the first time. I think I can get that install time down to 5ish minutes.

It fit pretty good. I didn't quite pull it forward far enough, so I'll know better next time. I didn't have any trouble getting the little clips hooked on the Rubicon rails and my Ace rock sliders didn't interfere with the fit. Also, I didn't move my aftermarket side mirrors.

I'm sure I'll get a chance to try this out in the rain because summer in Alabama.

That said, I don't like the storage bag. It's kinda small. Also, the strap on the bag goes across the middle and can't be adjusted, so it's in the way when you're trying to put the cover in. Also, you really have to try folding this thing up to use the bag. I might ditch the bag altogether and get a bigger storage bag. Also, the whole thing is too big to fit behind the seat. That's fine since I expect this to spend most of the time in the bed under the tonneau.

Same, thoughts on the storage bag. I could barely cram it in there with it folded right out of the box. Overall it’s much heavier than I expected.

If anyone with a soft top gets one of these I would appreciate seeing how it fits over the soft top.
It looks like there is a bit of room, but I am curious if it still covers the rear door area.

There's a review on Bestop's site that says it leaked a lot in a rainstorm. This is supposed to be waterproof, right?

Just a guess on my part, but I would think the intent behind this product is to keep your Jeep mostly dry when you're out somewhere and there's a pop-up shower or whatever. I wouldn't expect it to offer 100% protection during heavy rain.

Seems like I read (maybe in the instructions) that it's not meant to protect from heavy wind/rain or for extended periods.

I messed around with mine a bit, but didn’t have a lot of time. It goes on easily once you figure out back and front. I had the same first try as Vagabond did. Taking it off takes just seconds. I didn’t even try to put in the bag yet, just rolled it up and threw it in the back then put the freedom panels on top of it to weigh it down.
my biggest issue is that the straps and hooks at the end of the straps don’t line up with my NFab step bar. That’s going to take some thinking on my part (a dangerous thing!). I will review better later, but I am jammed for time, but realized there are people watching this thread who wanted to hear something.

Assembled and Installed in less than 5 minutes just before a rain. Worked great. I have it on my soft top, rear window in place, with tube doors on.

Some notes
-mirrors on my eag tube doors need to be folded in. Not an issue, just a heads up.
-front clips need to be clipped forward, to keep front of door well covered
-seams on the front looked a little like theyd rip over time. I sealed them with a camping adhesive/sealer just to be safe.

all in all it works! That’s really what matters to me and is what i wanted.

Worth the price IMO.

havent tried the bag yet but im sure ill probably swap it for a mesh sack so the cover can breath if i have to roll it up wet.

Ok, big question.
Why did you buy this over the rain gear, just availability?
