The holes on the sides where the JT "Trail rail" system bolts - I believe 4 each side. Is there a standard hole spacing? Are they ALL the same distance apart, end to end, or is there some funky difference between the holes?
For example, of the front to second hole back is 13.5" are they ALL that distance apart?

I have a DIY Unistrut TrailRail installed, I can't get a very accurate measurement but I can visually see that none of the 4-side mounts measurements are the same, the 4-front measurements appear to also be different measurements from side to center boltholes and center to center boltholes.

I also did a Kindorf strut install, I ordered blank no holes , cut them to the same length and when measuring the holes matched from Passenger side to Driver side , all BUT ONE, 1/8" different. I cut strut to size needed, and used factory ends and made it tight to rear of space for it and measured from there....Jack

That's what I was needing to know - what the hole spacing is and if they were all the same.
Not concerned with the front yet but want to know measurements to drill (or rather mill) out the holes for rails.
It's bloody cold in the garage and it's dark and figured if I could get a measurement I could drill the rails and have them ready to simply bolt in place.

I guess if no one knows, I'll wait until it's warm and do it the harder way.

I am going to be putting in some L-track; I bought some lengths of L-track with no holes in it, not the generic stuff with holes in places that may be wrong for this application. My plan is to drill one hole at one end of a piece of track, then put in some M6x1 "transfer screws" (pointed tip) in the remaining holes in the side of the bed, put a bolt in the one hole that I drilled at one end, and wiggle the rail against the transfer screws to get the marks in the exact places. Then I'll take the rail back indoors to drill the remaining holes. Once I have the one side done, I can use it as a template for the second side. Actually I will probably do small holes first in the first rail, to have more precision in using it as a template for the second rail, and then drill all of them out to fullsize.

Got the holes matched up just fine. I used tape along the sides of the bed, made holes in the tape where the threaded bed holes were and put that tape on the back of my rails and drilled. Perfect alignment.

NOW the question would be - had anyone ADDED threaded holes - I don't mean drill and thread as that would be pretty lame and weak, might get 2 threads in there. I mean by some other means -
Any sort of a rivnut sort of thing? The 4 factory holes may be fine for industrial girders and 5" I beams, etc. but I'm not sure how strong those 4 holes would be for what I installed.
So has anyone added any threaded holes there for more strength?
