With the 20% off MSRP sale for the Gladiators I purchased a 2025 Gladiator Mojave in JOOSE Orange.
In the past I had a Gladiator Rubicon but was really surprised the difference in ride between the 2 models.
I've already started with the mods making the Mojave hood scoop functional as I did with my old Rubicon.

That's a good looking Gladiator, I really like how the interior blends with the color. Enjoy your special Gladiator. I am also interested in your hood function mod.

I currently have a Gladiator Rubicon, since you now have had both how would you describe the difference?

Also what did you pay if you don’t mind me asking?
The Mojave seats have additional seat padding and larger side bolstering. The suspension sits 1" taller than the Gladiator Rubicon and sprung differently. My Rubicon had a stiffer ride compared to the Mojave. The handling is better on turns those Fox shocks and Mojave 15mm wheel offset all help. My Mojave weighs 215 pounds more than my old Rubicon Gladiator. Since it's leather interior both front seats are power that adds weight along with cast iron steering knuckles, frame reinforcements, bigger Fox shocks and taller springs. The MSRP was 64,215 the dealer advertised it for $51,101 so I said hello to JOOSE. lol

Odd, when I was looking at trading, I measured frame to ground on JTs as the height was a concern for my snow plow. I found the Mojave to ride about the same height as a Rubicon. It was only about 1/8" taller than my Overland which I had lifted to the same height as a Rubicon.

I test drove a Mojave and a Rubicon and I must have had the one bad Mojave.... It beat the hell out of me on surface roads. Rubicon was a night and day difference SOTP feel. Main reason I went with the Rubicon was because of the ride difference. I went for the Mojave and came home with a Rubicon.

At first I was going to use the Rubicon 392 hood bezel then learned that the Mojave scoop is a 2 piece design. I removed 2 pins holding the front of the hood insulation to drop it somewhat. Then I removed the 2- 10mm bolts holding the scoop to the hood and unclipped 3 clips in the front of the scoop tilt it back out of the hood. Then I pried the back side of the scoop so that it would flow air.
I had to experiment with how much to cut out of the insultation. Measuring 3" from the front of the pad I cut a 19"x8" section of the pad. The pad doesn't cut very well and tends to tear easily I've seen some people just leave the pad off.

Wow…that’s a bright color!! Neat as hell… I’m not an orange person (per say) but I’d take one in the Atomic Orange from the earlier corvettes. 😆
I just hate the boring colors that everyone and their socker mom’s drive.
White, white, white, grey, black…..more white…etc.

At first I thought you meant functional as in it shoved air into the air box........... in this case, tromp the throttle and it operates a vacuum motor that opens a flapper to let air into the open-top air cleaner-

That would be cool to rig up a way, but then, the air box is all wrong for such a thing on the 3.6

I did something similar on my 2020 Rubicon when I installed the S&B intake scoops and had to cut the hood liner. Used HVAC insulation duct tape to cover and wrap over the cut liner material to keep it from getting frayed.

Not that fancy it's ventilation for under the hood like the 2019+ Challenger Scat Pack hood which is the 1st gen Hellcat hood. My JL Rubicon hood is functional too and is great at ventilating heat out.

I bet the tires were aired up to like 50 psi.

Yes, always assume on a test drive from a dealership the tires are crazy over-inflated, making for a harsh ride, wandering and other possible issues. Often even after prep they are sent out way wrong. The door sticker on my wife's JLU clearly says 37 yet they were inflated to 41.
Similar for each of the JTs I've had - all wrong.

Love this truck and love that you opened up the hood scoop. Maybe I missed it, but what happens to the intake water when it rains?
