It’s literally as easy as pull the pads off pull the slide springs off and put the pads back on…. You will see once your in there it’s beyond basic- no different than if you were swapping new pads on ??Can anyone tell me the difficulty of replacing these clips? Any You tube videos out there? Its just annoying driving down a nice trail only to have the rattle disturb your mood.
Do you think the warranty would cover it?

to anyone else who isn’t doing this I learned the hard way- about every 10-15k miles you should clean these with brake fluid and re-grease the caliper pins…. The back pads like to stick if you don’t.
#8 in the photo- they aren’t normal brake pad slides…. They have little spring things built into them. Vs the traditional slides

If you are talking about the thing metal backing plate on the back of the pad, that is usually bonded or riveted in place and you have to replace the pad.
If you are talking about the metal clip slider hardware the pad ears ride in and is missing or worn, need a hardware kit.
Warranty usually only covers brake pad and hardware for like 12K miles but that usually just the pads themselves. Argument could be made if other hardware is missing or a material defect of the pads, they may cover but that is going to depend on how cool your dealership is to work with gray area things.
