Does anyone else’s hand brake sound like there is a loose bolt or metal bracket rattle or make a noise when they are disengaging. Mine just started to about a week ago. I guess I’ll give the dealership a ring.

Trip to the dealer to have the E-brake adjusted. Unless you want to do it yourself.

My 21 Gladiator does it but the 22 Wrangler does not.

Did you ever figure it out? My 2024 is doing it with only 2500 miles.

When it’s cold out the brake doesn’t have the same resistance when it engages/disengages-in the latest case it was 10-20 F and in a few feet of snow. Once the truck was running for a bit and warming up it behaved normally. Back home, where temps don’t get below 30-40 F and no snow, do not see this behavior. My hypothesis was perhaps it’s hydraulic and being super cooled causes this-fluid being to thick to move or a valve that isn’t working right for being iced over. I dont Know how it works, these are just my guesses-but it is consistent.

people use them?? I though e-brakes were only for drifting FWD cars and making your truck fail safety inspection

Mine will give the metallic rattle when it's in the disengaged position (down). When it's engaged, there is no rattle. Will go take a look later today.
