Did you forget to add you were posting sarcasm?

They look nothing alike at all!/

LOVE this pic ha, hadn't seen it. I really like the new Bronco (and have always loved the old too, plus International Scouts shhhh, just got tired of the rust of these old trucks)! I think they nailed the look.

Having said that, I simply need a truck bed most days, so 🙈

Loving my Gladiator, but sure notice the Broncos I'm starting to see too ha. But no, not trading the Gladiator, it does what I need that the Bronco can't.

Haha I made this earlier but the top photo is a photo I took of a Sasquatch big bend I test drove. I was going to get a 4 door Bronco because they’re sweet but I started looking at the gladiator and went that route instead. I love the look too, they look great!

Ford needs to use that pic ha, it really shows off how the new is so honest to the old, you sold me ha!!! Great job! You just made me want to buy a Bronco even more lol.

Except I bought a Gladiator. Yeah, we're on a Gladiator forum. I'm glad we can show love to other cool vehicles here.

But, the Gladiator just works, couldn't be happier (well, unless it had a Hellcat).

Lol thanks! Yeah I had that on my phone so I just found something with a similar angle. I love all cars! Wife has a Bronco on order so I’ll get the best of both worlds. But I can’t wait for my gladiator to be built!

The Transmissions might be assembled in the same place, but they're completely different designs. The ford is a Ford/GM collaboration, the Gladiator is a ZF which is pretty much the top dog in automatic transmissions.
I have to agree .... I was in a 150 for 6 wks while my JT was being repaired after an accident. My first impression of the 10spd was that it is clunky and the shift points are off. It provided exceptional fuel economy, but .... When I finally got my JT back I immediate notice how smooth the JT 8 spd was. My Ford friends told me that I just wasn't used to the 10 spd ... I had to call BS. I was disappointed and it would weigh in on a buying decision should I ever be in the market for a Ford.

The OP is simply wrong.

The Bronco is larger than a Jeep. But its based on the Ford Ranger. Nowhere near full sized. One thing that is definitely true is that the Bronco is wider.

But length and wheelbase is within a couple of inches of the Wrangler in both 2 and 4 door versions, and its obviously much shorter than a Gladiator.

I'm agonizing over a decision between the Bronco and Gladiator. If they come out with a 4xe Gladiator for 2022, my decision will be easy. Its hard to argue with 370 hp and 475 ft-lbs of torque. (Plugging in is optional with a hybrid)

If they don't come out with the 4xe this year, I'll have a hard time deciding, but probably still leaning towards the jeep. When the Bronco came out,I thought it looked fantastic. Now I'm starting to like the way the Jeep looks better.

Oh and the interior materials quality in the Jeep is much better. So the fact that the Bronco interior is larger isn't a big deal. I'm 5'8", my wife is also short and my kids don't get a say in what back seat they ride in. Ha.

To the OP's original statement. I would think 90% maybe 95% of wrangler owners don't go offroad so your 2 points, in my opinion, are moot. For the 5-10% of offroaders, probably 5% overland and the IFS isn't a deal breaker and might be able to get by with the greater width. The other 5% are the extreme off-roaders and the Bronco maybe won't work for them based on your points. Or maybe you are correct and I'm wrong, but I still think the off road market is only 10%. That being said, 90% are daily drivers, never going off road or maybe dirt road or the beach. But probably something I could have gone down in my Ford Explorer.
The competition for Jeep is a removable door & top 4x4. Bronco is that. My teeange daugther has a JLU. Why, because the top and doors come off, and it looks cool.
If I had brought home a Bronco and showed her the doors and top coming off, she would have been just as happy.
You are correct. Though probably more than 10% go off road on trails and fire roads.

You are correct in calling BS. My wife drives a 2020 explorer ST and let’s just say that I have Zero envy of the Ford Bronco. The 10 speed from Ford isn’t even in the same class as the ZF. Also the thing is huge. It’s almost the same length of the JTR never mind the Wrangler. If anyone want to hit any decent off-road trails in my neck of the woods the buy a bronco sans paint cause you’d be waiting your money otherwise.

Parked kitty-corner to one the other day, it's really long, almost as long as my JT.

Just like JT and JL/JLUR, they look dumb with stock street tires on them

They look good in Sasquatch trim, but they are big

I have an obx on order the only reason I have my gladiator is ford fd up the production so badly don't get me wrong happy with my gladiator but in the bronco for 6k less I have 12" screen, adaptive cruise, a better highway ride, better seats, power seats, mirrors when I remove the doors, I could go on I have had 2 wranglers and this is my first gladiator not a Ford or jeep fan boy but once they get the kinks worked out the bronco will eat the wranglers lunch they asked jeep owners what they would fix and they fixed it time will tell but the battle is on

Um…It’s 1” longer than a 4 door Wrangler and 29” shorter than your Gladiator…so no it’s not even close to as long as your Gladiator.

I'd have to park it wheel to wheel to see that. I see the specs online, but it sure doesn't feel that way

It *looks* really long, way longer than a Wrangler

I've always been a Jeep fan, but I was excited when I learned there would be a competitor from Ford. However, from what I know now, I just don't see it. I think it will be a bit like the FJ Cruiser. An attractive novelty that just can't compete off-road. They REALLY screwed up giving it IFS, just like Toyota did. They will sell, but I just don't see them going down the same rock crawling Jeep trails still dominated by Wranglers and Cherokees.

I am a Gladiator guy and I have no intentions of getting rid of my LE. That being said go to TFLOffroad on YouTube and watch the Bronco videos. They prove that the Bronco is one hell of a machine. Anyone who thinks that it has to be a solid axle to be an off road monster machine is stuck in 1980. Go and watch a few videos from King of the Hammers and you’ll be shocked at how many IFS there are, there are even a few IFS-IRS rigs making the show now.
