I feel like a bug deflector could pay for itself if it helps to cut down on rock hits to the windshield. Not to mention I’m tired of cleaning my windshield like daily.

I'm using this one and it seems to work well. It's hard to compare before and after, but I feel like it makes a difference.

I used that one in my Jeep JKU and when I finally decided to remove it the paint underneath it had faded bad

No hood chips and just a few bugs near the top of the windshield.

That's interesting. Does it make any noise at highway speeds? Seems like it catches a bit of air.

It seems like most of these are the same mine is the bushwacker but it looks like others on here. and I think it's all in your head. It doesn't do much, but it looks cool 1

I ordered the aero skin II. I ordered it directly from the manufacturer. No idea when it will arrive, but hopefully it helps keep my windshield more clear.

has anybody driven through a carwash with these deflectors on?

I've got the mopar one. Has three mount screws under the hood, and some stick on bumpers that go on the top of the hood underneath the deflector.

First day i drove to work in the jeep, I had dozens of splats, and it felt like i had to clean it all off every time i stopped for gas. Now with the deflector, I can probably clean it off once a week.

I ordered a Mopar one but it only came with one metal tab that goes in one of the holes under the hood so Quadratec is sending me another set. How easy were those metal tabs to install under the hood?

My tires won’t fit in the channels for the traditional “put it in neutral and it is pulled through” car wash and I would never use the touch less kind where you pull in and it sprays toxic chemicals that strip wax and every other protectIve coating. I use my power washer regularly and it works great including blasting any insect carcasses off the deflector.

How do you go about protecting the paint under these types. The one I had on my JKU really faded the paint out under it. Even had a spot where the paint was a round white spot about the size of your thumb. Honestly though I don't think it did crap to keep bugs off the windshield.

I have twice and didn't have any problems. It was the touchless spray wash, though.

I bought the Mopar bug deflector because I didn't want the stick on kind. It's an improvement but not a "cure."
