There are a couple great Jeep shops in MD that are both recommending a custom build 3.5" lift for my new JTR using components from Teraflex (3.5" base spring kit + Alpine IR short control arms, bump stops, etc) but I'm curious is anyone out there is wheeling something like this? If so, are you happy with performance and ride both on and off-road? Would you take the same approach again over a MC or Clayton Overland kit?

We're planning to put on 37's for better clearance on moderate/challenging trails, but we also plan to tow a small camping trailer, so we're going with the Falcon 3.3's to have some flexibility in our ride. Also a likely regear to 4.56's and a drive shaft upgrade will be added next year.

You will frequently find off road shops recommend exactly what they sell and unless you have a specific need, they're going to push what makes them the most money because in the end, you're not going to have much difference for someone not beating on the kit. All you can really do is look at how they're made (e.g. tube thickness, wall thickness, material) and make a determination as to what is right for you.

At cursory glance, the arms are 1-5/8" tube with about a 5/32" wall thickness. Not bad, but I'd personally want something a bit stronger paying that price. I went with MC which has a slightly smaller OD but thicker walls for a fair bit cheaper than what I'm seeing for the Teraflex kit.
