Ok, maybe I'm the only one, but I actually want to add these. Seems like most people pull them out of they were factory installed.

Problem is I bought what i thought was the correct parts. Says compatible with my 2021 willys. However the holes to attach don't even come close to lining up. I removed the back panel from my bumper, but the holes where this is supposed to attach aren't aligned at all. Are the plastic factory bumpers not all the same? Are there other pieces that need to come out? Can't seem to find any info on installing these. Like I said posts and videos I find at about removing, not installing/adding

There's quite a bit of information lacking. I think you should post photos explaining exactly which bumper you have, what's missing and what your final ideal conclusion is. At the moment it appears to me that you're attempting to put two different bumper's parts together. Problem is, it's hard to tell what exactly you're doing wrong.

i have a stock 2021 Willys Sport. plastic front factory bumper. i'll get some photos posted hopefully later.

was more of a general question on "are stock plastic bumpers all the same" wondering if there were some minor model changes or anything.

What I'm trying to do is add the 2 panels (the green ones in the diagram). I can't seem to find any instructions on installing these. I removed the existing plastic covers from the back of the bumper, the ones that need to be removed/accessed to change the fog light bulbs. They are held on by 6 plastic push rivet things. The new panels are attached with 6 bolts. The holes on the new panels do not align with existing bolts that are attaching what i believe is part 14 in the diagram above. In a nutshell, the holes for the new panel do not seem to align with threaded points on the bumper. It's really not even close.

one video i found about removing these closeout panels, has a good image of what they look like installed. but my bumper does not seem to look the same . it's hard to tell what part is sandwiched under another or what the install order should be. ill try to get some pictures tonight and hopefully be able to explain better

The Willys bumper is different than the Sport/Sport S, which is the one that comes with the damn dams.

The one on the Willys is the same as the Overland/Rubicon/Mojave unless upgraded to the steel for the latter 2.
If you look at the silver accent parts around the fog lights on an Overland trim, you’ll find that portion is elongated compared to a Sport. On Willys, Rubicon, and Mojave that silver accent is black.

well i suppose that answers it. would love to hear from @AllMoparParts.com

it seems even mopar.com says specifically this part fits 2021 gladiator willys, rubicon, mojave, etc

https://store.mopar.com/oem-parts/mopar-close-out-cover-left-6qz89rxfac
It’s possible that piece is shaped to fit both plastic bumper styles, however stock equipped, at least in the U.S., I believe that was a Sport/Sport S thing only. It’s a bit suspect that every model is listed in the “fit” group, Wrangler included, as there’s at least 3 different bumpers that can be equipped from the factory. Add in a euro-spec bumper and who knows, maybe Jeep engineered that bigger to fit all of their bumpers ??

(Of all the pieces Jeep engineers could have spent extra time in is making this often-removed plastic part fit several bumpers ?)

haha i know i'm the weirdo that wants to ADD it. i dont hate the look to be honest, and it seems there's at least some functionality to it (MPG maybe, slinging mud/rocks etc is better controlled). i can see where most would remove it, swapping bumpers, stubby bumper, etc. it's my daily driver and we tow a decent amount as well, any little bump in MPG worth a shot to me

Ive never minded them on old gladiator sport, I was thinking of added them again now that i have a max tow sport. I want to retrofit it into the mopar steel bumper
