This how I roll 90% of the time. The other 10% I have my Roof Top Tent on top. Right now I’ve a solar reflective piece of plywood on top to provide some shade/heat and rain protection for my dog who is always with me wherever I go.

So now I’ve been thinking about covering my bed rack with military style Camo netting and was wondering if anyone had done it themselves? I’d like to do it in such a way as to be able to roll it up on the sides or roll it down as needed.
I’m looking to see if anyone has done this already and maybe save myself a little aggravation in the process. Any thoughts as to attachment methods, durability, or just general ideas on how to go about it appreciated. . . .

I don't have any pix but we had a hmmwv with this back in desert storm. (Dating myself). Used some spare cammie nets on the cargo bars of a hi back hummer- similar to your application. Looked cool, was shady with airflow but was unbelievably loud for those sitting back there- would be concerned for pups hearing over time. Otherwise pretty effective.

The easiest and cheapest way from what I am seeing on your truck...
1. Cut camo net to length you want to cover sides.
2. Take pneumatic finish nail gun and tack net to top of your plywood you have mounted, making sure you use a staple not to protrude underneath.
3. Construct some velcro straps to fasten/secure the netting when you roll it up.

I did this process on a bay boat I had to use duck hunting. Wanted something cheap, quick and easy to disassemble after hunting season.
