Yes, you can run 35's on a Rubicon without a lift. I ran 37's for a bit before I decided what lift to go with. You can also play on your rocks in Sedona in stock form This was before I put the 37's on.

Without a lift, the JL Rubicon can accommodate tyres as tall as 35 inches.

I have a 21 Rubicon and get a little tire rub with my 35s when turning tight. Will a 2" leveling kit fix this at all?

Did you have any rubbing issues? What size leveling did you use?

Not all 35s are 12.5 inches wide.

There are 11.5 inch, 10.5 inch and 10 inch.

Depending on your chosen terrain… narrower is typically better on all terrain, with the exception of deep sand, deep offroad snow and watery bottomless mud… all where flotation is needed.

I run 10.5 wide R/T (left) in the warmer months and 10 wide A/T (right) during the winter here in Michigan.

Several factors here. I have BFG KO2 37s (considered the smallest 37s). The offset of your rims is going to determine if you have rubbing issues. I have a +25 offset on my Method 703s.

I did have some slight rubbing on the inner fender liner on full turn. I was able to easily fix this with a heat gun and some zip ties.

I've been running this setup with the stock rubicon suspension for the past year and have no intentions of changing it anytime soon
