I am getting ready to order some 705's and I came across a post that said you need Methods proprietary lug nuts to use the wheels. Is this true or can I just use the OEM lug nuts?(Preferable) Has anyone ran Method wheels with OEM lug nuts?

Nope, they wouldn't fit with my Methods......so I ordered the nuts straight from Method

I ordered them (along with the wheels) from our local offroad shop……
Probably best so they ‘match’☺

Double check, but these are what I have on mine, running Fifteen52 Patrol HD wheels.

Gorilla Lugs #K6TS-14150BGR

They need to be the small diameter type if I am remembering correctly. The OE Lugs conical head is too large to seat deeply enough in aftermarket wheels. There are some aftermarket wheels that can run OE lugs though, like SCS. Methods use smaller lug openings.

No, stock ones will fit, but putting a socket on them is a no-go.

I have the 703s and went to my local tire shop and got spline drive lug nuts, also called tuner style. Basically a long narrow torx looking thing. They'll come with their own socket to use them. You'll need M14x1.5

Splined lugs are usually needed for after market wheels. Not sure if you’ll need ET threads for more thread bite.

No they won’t. But the tire shop should have something appropriate in stock they can use. I think I paid maybe 50 bucks for the set they had to use on mine.
