Can't Decide

I've got a Gladiator Rubicon on a 2.5" Clayton Overland Plus lift, not sure what tire I want to go with, currently, it's sitting on 35" load C BFG KO2s.

Nitto Ridge Grappler 38x12.50r17 Load Cs (might have to do a fender chop or toss in 3.5" springs, no big deal)
Mickey Thompson Baja Boss A/T 37x12.50r17 Load Ds.

I hear the Baja Boss tires will do better In rain, the RGs are bigger though....I cant decide, blah!

Will be keeping stock D44 axles with new axle shafts during the regear.

I have those Mickey Thompsons on my gladiator which is my daily (only) driver. I haven't done any hard core wheeling with them, but spend a fair amount of time on unimproved forestry and fire roads slogging through a fair bit of mud. I like the versatility they give me with good enough mud performance (they are an AT and not an MT) and they work just as well around town and on the highway. Probably not a big deal for you in DFW, but in PA I have been happy with the way they handle wet and winter conditions too.

Maybe it’s me, but I am sure a lot of others rack up more miles on road than off. Surely there are those exceptions.

I really do not see the hype of the Nitto Ridge Grapplers. Is it simply just the size offering?!?

Left: Looking at the Mickey Thompson Baja Boss A/T tires and they even just look superior. Look at the spacing and depth between the lugs, the siping throughout the middle, etc. M/T on the outside and A/T on the inside. The side biters are vicious too.
I absolutely love these tires and would roll on them year round, but are my dedicated winter tires (Michigan).

Right: The Kenda Klever R/T does not even come close to the aggressive look of the Mickeys. Bought these, because the Mickeys specific size (255/85R17) were unavailable/sold out at the time that I wanted them NOW! Hah!

Me personally… I would rather have my family riding around on a safer on all road conditions tire and out of an A/T, R/T and an M/T, you cannot beat an A/T tire for its on-road mannerisms.

Oh, the Mickey is not pictured mounted on a wheel here.

I straight up would race right out to get the Mickeys again. Nothing wrong with the Kendas, but I am just an narrow(er) A/T guy.
