Cargo Curtain and Sun Bonnet

Has any body used a combination Mopar Sun bonnet and the rugged ridge cargo curtain? Id like to go fully topless once it gets nice enough here but have 2 little ones in the back and can see them loosing stuff out the back.

I have the mopar sun bonnet, and the rugged ridge jl front mesh shade in the rear. I got the rugged ridge because I have a 10mo and so she’s still rear facing and the wife was worried about the sun when the tops off. Personally I’m really impressed with the rugged ridge and very unhappy about the mopar mesh bonnet.

I have the full Spiderwebshade on both my JLU and JT. Great coverage on both of them

With the spider shade can you still access the latches for the hardtop, I would like to find something I can leave on and still use the hard top.

Yes you can leave the shade on. I have a hard top on the JL and dual top on the JT. No problems what so ever

I don’t have any experience other than the two I currently have, but I plan to get something that only attaches to the roll bar in a few areas with either bungees or Velcro. One of the issues with the mopar bonnet design is that it’s full length contact with the rollbar so you are limited to mopar handles if you want those on your rollbar, all others won’t work. So any accessories you have must come off, and likely can’t be used when the bonnet is on. I also had to poke holes in the leather so I can leave it installed under my soft top frame, but that also means to take it on and off I need to fully remove my softtop frame and hardware. Just a hassle all around.

I have to agree with the quality of Rugged Ridge parts and accys. Better price than Mopar stuff too.
