Ok. Although I would consider those an afterthought after someone pushes something above and beyond anything they previously said they wanted or needed. You should get a position in sales, you would make a killing...

In the mid 70s through early 80s I was a sales person and installer for CBs and car stereos and I did well because it was my hobby at the time. If I believed sand was the thing to have I could have sold it to the Saudi’s. But I’m not selling anything here, just pointing out what a higher caliber radio and antenna can do for you.

Maybe you didn’t read all the OPs posts like this these where he likes the idea of operating 10m amateur with the same setup. I like to recommend solutions that will take you into the future and not require a complete do over. That seems to disagree with your 1/4 mile only recommendation. Maybe you missed a point somewhere.

”RadioGuy's solution I think will work best, rather invest a little and be able to use it for 10m as well.”

Thank you! This is exactly what I was after. I've been thinking of getting my Tech any way and this will open that door as well as deal with this sudo short term item on the CB side.
To the Op:
I believe you mentioned getting the 10 meter radio so you can also operate 10 meters as well as your cb needs. You may already be aware, but I just wanted to say that operating on 10 meters requires a HAM license. If your already a HAM, please ignore this message.
Just didn't want folks to think that just buying a 10 meter radio and jumping on the ham bands (10 meters) was kosher.

Just so everyone is aware, the 10 meter "export radios" are kind of dual purpose radios, they work on the cb band as well as the 10 meter ham band.
