Hey folks,
at 98k mi, I've gotten a CEL and error code P01C5, which the dealer service rep says is a "Fuel Pressure Sensor Circuit Low" error.
Looking back over my service records, at 92k mi, I had a DTC for a Fuel Pressure Sensor, and the mechanic notes state "Replaced fuel lines assembly from lower filter to rear of cylinder heads as sensor is not removable. Found DTC stored. Returned to Customer"
The service manager said that the part was not covered under my 100k warranty, claiming it was part of the emissions system... e.g. fuel lines to the DPF... but then I don't understand the mechanic notes of the fuel line running to the cylinder heads? I challenged that, but he looked my warrantee number up on the computer, which apparently they have in the computer all specific part numbers covered in the warrantee, and it was not covered. So $1198 down the tubes on that one not covered. (I've also had to replace the DPF, and the Def pump and line during this same period... all not covered... about $7k all tolled).
At any rate, my question: Are there more than one fuel sensors in the vehicle (I assume so) and which fuel sensor is the P01C5 referring to? I'm trying to figure out if this is a new problem, possibly covered by my warranty, or a recurring problem that maybe was not fixed fully 6k mi ago? Hopefully not a new problem not covered by my warranty!!
Id ask the dealer service rep, but he's out on vacation, and no one answers the phone at the dealer... they want you to interact with them via text messages.
