For those of you running a kicker key200.4, did you experiment with microphone placement for dsp tuning? Im trying to get more of a center stage rather than front stage. The key amp keeps reducing the highs of the soundbar speakers to create a front stage sound.

Planning on installing a Key 180.4 that I already have, but my schedule has been too relentlessly insane to get to the install yet.

Very interested in what you find.

Low tech W.A.G. idea, could you temporarily cover the soundbar speakers with some material that slightly, but not excessively, damps treble, while you run the Key set-up? That way it might go a little hotter on the treble to the soundbar, based on what it is "hearing" at set-up - then for actual operation you could remove the damping material?

i may try that. Ive heard of people covering the mic with a thin towel to bring the highs up as whole. Others have told me to fade mostly to the front when i do the dsp setup.

Another thing to try. The key amp has a "kicker eq" and I've read on other forums that if you're using better than OE speakers, things may sound better with Kicker EQ off.

I'll be interested in what you try and what works

I ended up wiring the amp to all speakers. for awhile now the amp would turn the tune off after the vehicle sat for a bit. I already verified that its getting a constant 12v power. I said screw it and just thr amp with out the dsp. Honestly i like it better without it.
