I have a 23 JTR and recently upgraded to 35” KO2s. I used a Tazer mini to update tire size to 34.5” and did the full reboot ordeal. The changes take effect as the shift points are noticeably different, but I’m finding the steering becomes all over the place. It feels like it wants to randomly pull in different directions and floats around at highway speed, especially with road crown and ruts.

I thought it might be a loose steering box issue that I’ve seen others mention, so I took it to the dealer today to have them look at it. Before leaving I unmarried the Tazer, and I was amazed to find out on the way to the dealer that the steering issue was completely gone - the steering wheel was noticeably tighter and there was almost no floating or pulling. I remarried it and the issues came back.

So it seems like the Tazer is causing this, but I can’t find anyone else having a similar issue. I’ve used the Tazer to enable a bunch of other settings and haven’t had issues, so I don’t think it’s a reboot process issue. At this point I’m considering it just letting the dealer reprogram the tire size, but that would kind of defeat the point of having bought the Tazer. Anyone have any idea what’s going on or have any suggestions?

I haven't noticed any of these issues but just a thought you might look at using JSCAN or AlphaOBD to change the tire size. Those changes stay programmed to the vehicle. Using the tazer the changes get removed every time you unmarry it to take it to the dealer for service or upgrade the firmware. If it is still under warranty and you have issues with the transmission or engine and remove the tazer to take it in for the warranty work it could potentially get denied as the computer would show it as having the stock tire size when you are running larger tires. Just a thought.

Maybe check the Tazer settings for the "EPSteer"??? Not sure what the effect would be, but just a thought.
