2022 Gladiator Mojave
I bought my 2022 Gladiator Mojave last week used with about 5k miles on it. Yesterday the CEL came on and it seemed kind of sluggish. Upon looking under the hood I noticed the coil injectors were the RIPP brand and not OEM. I have read all about these and the high failure rate that comes with them. Not sure if this caused the misfire code. This morning I took it in and they did a PCM update. I asked the tech if the RIPP coils were original to the engine and if I can get the OEM parts replaced. He didn't seemed too concerned and stated not to worry about it if it was a certified used vehicle, which it was.

So my questions to any other Mojave owners... Do these come on the Mojave trim? Seems to me like the previous owner installed these. (not sure why, as this jeep barely has any miles on it and there are no other mods. seems weird to start with that mod one first)

I am hoping its just a PCM update issue, but I just want to double check because if the problem returns, I will have the dealer service center install the OEM parts that in my opinion should have been on the Jeep with a certified warranty.

RIPP coils are not OEM to any trim. As to why the original owner did it, who knows? People sometimes do mods without any real end goal other than to say they did something to themselves.

My guess is the previous owner had the misfires and the coils were an attempted fix. Any Carfax history?
