Yesterday my 2021 Gladiator, 3.6/auto, started displaying the check engine light. I checked the gauges and all systems are within normal ranges. Via Tazer I
pulled the fault codes. Two fault codes were displayed PO456 and C17C1-11. I found the interpretation for PO456 (Evap Purge 'System Small Leak). The second code, C17C1-11, I have not been able to find anything on. If someone could direct me to a listing of Fault Codes and meanings or let me know what the C17C1-11 Fault Code is concerning that would be a great help and give me a place to start looking. Not sure if the PO456 could be related to gas cap so I have checked the cap to make sure it is on correctly.

looks like it jumbled a body failure code with a chassis code.

-11 normally means ground fault on circuit. but these are usually associated with B codes.

This the closest code i could find to the one above. Maybe reset you tazer and reread the code? Cus C17 codes in general don't seem to exist in any of my DTC matrix's.

Jeep DTC C15B1-11
Make:JeepCode:C15B1-11Definition:Rear Acceleration Sensor - Circuit Short To GroundDescription:Active Damping Control Module (ADCM) detects when the Rear Acceleration Sensor Signal circuit is shorted to ground.Cause:
  • WIRING HARNESS, TERMINAL, CONNECTOR DAMAGED OR DISCONNECTED
  • REAR ACCELERATION SENSOR SIGNAL CIRCUIT SHORT TO GROUND
  • REAR ACCELERATION SENSOR SIGNAL CIRCUIT OPEN OR HIGH RESISTANCE
  • REAR ACCELERATION SENSOR POWER CIRCUIT OPEN OR HIGH RESISTANCE
  • REAR ACCELERATION SENSOR
  • ACTIVE DAMPING CONTROL MODULE (ADCM)
Failure Type:Circuit Short To GroundThis sub type is used for failures, where the control module measures ground (battery negative) potential for greater than a specified time period or when some other value is expected.

If it did exist it should be in this column. But I don't have it apparently.

edit: I submitted for an update and requested support on your code. Hopeful to have a definitive answer soon.

Thanks for taking the time and looking into this. I will I unmarry the Tazer and see what happens without it connected. Just my luck it pops a code never seen before!

Even though the gas cap is tight it may not be sealing. There is a O-ring inside the cap that may have failed.

I did look at the seal and it appears to be in good shape. Thanks for the response.

With the Tazer married cleared codes then went for a ride. The cel and codes came back immediately. Then cleared codes, unmarried Tazer went for a ride. The cel came back on immediately. Next updated Tazer firmware, married Tazer and no cel or codes. Have driven over 100 miles and cel is still off. Hopefully updateing Tazer has resolved cel/trouble code issue.
