I have a Sport Max Tow which gets used to haul a 3K pound travel trailer on a regular basis. It also spends a lot of time in the NV desert so I'd like to get it up a couple of inches for a little more ground clearance. I plan on sticking with the 33" Rubicon take-off wheels and tires it is currently wearing.
I seriously considered the Mopar 2" lift but from what I've read the actual lift is around 3.5" on a Sport. That is higher than I want to go, not to mention it would do away with the desirable max tow rear springs.
What I'm thinking is this.
Rubicon springs in front would give me around 1". Add a Teraflex 1" or maybe 1.5" spacers and that would get my desired 2" lift, at least in the front. I also have the Mopar lift kit LCAs to keep caster alignment goodness.
Daystar 3/4 " spacer in the rear. That would give me a little more ground clearance and keep the max tow springs. Also hopefully avoid the nose in the air look which I hate.
Rubicon shocks front and rear. Higher quality shocks and they look cool.
What do you guys think? Am I on the right track?
