That's actually impressive!

This reminds me of a weekend I had in Murphy NC with my 91 Crown Vic. My friend was hosting a 4WD challage course, and I was bummed that I could not make it. My wife was in school, and was writing her thesis. I had the sole responsibility of our 3 children, ages 4,5 and 6. I took them camping in the North Georgia mountains.

My friend somehow convinced me to camp at the offroad park where he was hosting his challenge. Saturday morning we packed up the Crown Vic and left North Georgia for Murphy.

Me friend could not get away to meet me when we got there and told me to enjoy the day camping. I told him that we would explore the place and find a nice spot to camp. He had a quick thought and said that if I get stuck, he would add a rescue to the challenge.

I didn't want to be rescued on a forest service road, so I worked my way closer to where the event was taking place. The sign said " 4 wheel drive vehicles only". I figured I was sure to get stuck and add to the challenge.

Hours have gone by and I still have not got the Crown Vic hung up. I may have had a few miles in reverse but I still had lot of fwd progress, dragging my class 3 hitch on rocks and in the mud. I never had to call in a friend for help, but I'm pretty sure I had the only Crown Vic that far into the offroad park.

Rear wheel drive plus torque and clearance and enough tire can climb some pretty good hills, because much of the weight gets thrown to the back.
