Great day up at Mosquito Pass. Drove the trail with @jorbasaurus and a few other Wranglers.

Never did either trail....so it's all an adventure for me. Mini Moab could be fun and closer.

Your new gears so your choice! I'm good for anything!

I want intel on your Ouray Trip. It looks like you can run Imogen and Ophir together. From what I see on Alltrails a someone suggested running Ophir to Telluride and Imogen back. They also look short. I may try to do them on Monday. I just want to stick with the flow of traffic. Imogene reads like its a PITA to fight traffic.

No worries! I get it...I have three kids 9, 10, and 11. You all have fun running China Wall and share some pics!

Talked to the Ranger out there. She gave GREAT info. Said most run Black Bear or Ophir TO Telluride and Imogene back. She also said when you get to the top of Ophir and start to go down, watch for vehicles coming uphill. She said to just let them pass because there is not really room on that section to move around vehicles going the opposite way.

Ophir is pretty tight but you can see a lot of the trail from both directions. There is room to get vehicles by on the corners. The uphill has the right away but this is a general rule and doesnt apply 100% of the time. If you are going uphill and its easier for you to stop and wait for someone DO IT! Take your time, be smart and courteous. Also, you should get this book!

For each area, it displays a nice map to give you an idea of which trails will get you to and from different towns.

Yeah. I agree uphill has right of way and try to signal to others how many we have in our group when passing. i also run GMRS. Sadly around here, you do not see too much common courtesy.
I'm generally really chill when I run trails. No point in getting road rage during an already tight situation.

With Ophir and the others I wanted to run with the general flow of traffic too. I know I will encounter a few going the opposite way, but go with the flow....go with the flow. I'm hoping my weekday runs will also limit traffic. I figure I can do Ophir and Imogene on Monday as they are short and the Alpine loop on Tuesday as it's a good 7 hours.

I'll order the book too. I run Gaia. on my screen in the rig.

Pics? I'm getting video too! Bought a flexible tripod. Not going to do anything stupid right before I leave for Ouray, but I will have a good time! Plan on pushing my skills a bit more and having a good day.

Mmmmmm BBQ breakfast burritos...y'all have fun and post some pics.
