Converted hardtop lift

today i converted my JKU hardtop lift. I spent about $15 in parts, and maybe an hour bending and coating the bar so it can fit through the back window with out contacting the glass.

The top is WAY lighter than the jku too. And the tool kit that came with the jeep was actually super helpful.

Nice! Did you buy the original lift or make it? If bought can you please post the link. If DIY can you please most more pics of the lift itself and how it attaches to the top? How long does it take to get the lift off?

I got it second hand a couple years ago. Heres the latest version.

If you look at the pics all i really did to convert was bend a new bar, and drill a new hold towards the back. Was super easy.

I have the manual crank for the lift. so it took me probably 10 mins (tops) to pull the hardtop bolts, then maybe 5 minutes to lift it off.

I have a Racor lift for my JLU’s hardtop. However I’m likely to get a hard shell tent for the truck bed. I’ll be using the Racor to pull that off. The Gladiators top is light and small enough that my wife and I will pull it off by hand when needed.
