๐Ÿ˜†๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜Ÿ Tell me you don't have to deal with health insurance claims and payments without saying it.

Yes, that's SOP. United Health has gotten in trouble several times for automatically denying all claims filed and forcing everyone to appeal; now they are using AI to deny claims without anyone ever looking at them.
worst idea in the world ever - (well, almost) "advantage plans" (part C)

But now we're talking about for-profit companies, shady business practices, compared to one person not trying to maximize stock numbers but denying something appeared while in their care and custody.

In both cases, I use the term "weaseling out" because - it is.

It wasn't there, now it is.

AND - it's up to the person renting a vehicle to INSPECT it themselves. All companies invite you to do the walk-through and inspect the vehicle. I even pointed out a couple of tiny rock chips - even though the guy said they were smaller than a quarter or whatever, just because I wanted it known they were there, in case of further paint chipping or peeling or whatever. I looked over the glass, tires and did a better inspection than he did.

You know Jeeps, their legends and more, and you rent a Jeep, and don't look for things you know that Jeep historically has a problem with? That makes it even worse, to me!
I'd have cleaned my glasses, used glass cleaner and a flashlight on the windshield if I was ever renting a Jeep LOL
If I saw anything that wasn't proven to be a bug, I'd make them make note of it. Come on, we know Jeeps!

Or make sure you have damage coverage and don't worry about it. I usually just grab the car I like the most and go. Some places don't even care, I've taken the Jeeps in Hawaii back full of sand and with shredded tires from driving on lava rock and never heard anything about it.
