I'm getting a '21 Sport (no Max Tow) shortly and will need to daily drive it for essentially as long as I own the vehicle (foreseeable future). Looking at doing a lift and 37s, not afraid of regearing. I just want to know if anyone has experience driving on 37s w/ 4.88 gears, long term. Comfort? Drivability? Longevity of parts? etc.

I had put 33s on a TJ Sport without regearing and it wasn't horrible... but not looking for that experience again.

EDIT: No max tow because I wanted a manual more. Also, the truck has already been ordered and will be delivered by the end of the month - no going back for the max tow, even if I wanted to. Regardless, just looking for drivability on 37s. Thanks!

id strongly recommend you get a max tow so you have more frame clearance with the axles

Believe me, I thought about it. Wanted a manual more though. I don't tow and I can get over not having the wider axles, etc.

I would add the manual part to your original post. That makes a much bigger difference then anything else. While I prefer a manual & my other car is one the 8 speed auto is very good at keeping the engine where it should be. I wouldn't even consider it with the 6MT.
